When it comes to preservation, the Longfellow House–Washington’s Headquarters National Historic Site has seen tremendous support from the Friends and we could not have done any of it without the support of our Friends and supporters. The pandemic in 2020 affected all of us and we had to adjust how things get done today. We recently purchased a state-of-the-art video conferencing system in the carriage house for our partners at the NPS use for communications and efficiency. The system supports live and recorded lectures, interviews and public information.

Another Longfellow Summer Festival is in the books and with poetry and music from our partners at the New England Poetry Club and Berklee College of Music. And behind the scenes we are funding restorations and renovations around the house.

As we plan ahead for 2027, we want to remind you of the kind of numbers we are dealing with.
